❤ The Lucky One | The most ordinary things could be made extraordinary

Hello my lovelies!

I thought I would give you a short summary of what has been going on this month while this blog has been on hiatus. Here we go.

* * * *

School has been going... Okay, I guess. Truth to be told, I´ve come to that conclusion that Information Technology isn´t my cup of tea. If it had been all about graphics, design and multimedia, then it would´ve suited me better. But we´ve had close to nothing on those subjects.... I might be interested in computers, but not interested enough to find programming etc fun! Also, it hasn´t been the easiest thing for me to get the study motivation back after Christmas.

1382_largeSo I´ve talked with the student guiding counsellor and decided that I would apply to another study programme, within VAMK. I will hopefully be called to an entrance exam in June. At the same time as I filled in the application, I also chose a few different study programmes at other schools. I will apply to one more study programme, within a vocational institute, I only need to get an employment certificate from the daycare (where I worked last year) before I can send in my application.

Believe me, I´m so annoyed at myself for this. I seriously believed I could handle this study programme this time around, but oh how wrong I was! =/ This was not what 19-year old me thought my life would be when I´d be 25. Back then I had a clear view on what I wanted to do after UpSec. I wish I could turn back the time 3 years so that I could continue with the Folklore studies at Åbo Akademi University...

X_065b9026_largeI still have no job for the Summer. I have only got negative response from 3, I think, and I sent in applications to... Oh, I´m not keepng count but atleast 20. And all of the basically said the same thing: Thank you for applying. We had a lot of applicants this year but sadly you weren´t one of them. A real boost for your confidence, huh? I hope I will get at least one positive responce, so that I will get money and improve my economy.

Tumblr_m123l15sra1rp7tgfo1_1280_largeOn 7 March, I finally booked the flight to Dublin for me, Angie and Ammi. We even got a discount, so we saved about 100 € on that. Thanks Aer Lingus! One annoying thing about the flight, is that it leaves Dublin at 7 a.m., so we lose a whole day there basically. Also, since 22 June is 100% reserved for the Westlife concert at Croke Park, we have four days to find something exciting to do on: Thursday (we arrive on this day, so we might only check the area out on this day...), Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Today it´s 93 days until the Croke Park concert and 92 days until we go to Ireland & Dublin.

You already know I´m a huge fan of the Eurovision Song Contest and I especially follow the Swedish contest with great passion. In this year´s contests there have been a lot of different kinds of emotions. My penpals especially know what I´m talking about! ;-)
Anyways, Sweden´s entry in this year´s ESC in Baku, Azerbadjan is Loreen with the amazing song Euphoria. Danny came 2nd (again, poor thing!) with his awesome song Amazing. You should really watch his performance, it was really... Wow! Below I´ll list my favourites from the contest, including those who didn´t reach the Finale. Note that the final 2 songs weren´t actually competing, they were extra acts.

On Sunday 11 March, I went with mam and auntie B to a church concert with Sanna Nielsen. It was a magical concert, and we sat on the front row.
Here´s a compilation of three movie clips I filmed of the songs Rör vid min själ (You raise me up in Swedish), Empty Room and Whitney Houston´s I will always love you.

Sanna is a true superstar and she has an amazing voice. Since she grew up in southern Sweden, she has that Skåne-accent I adore so much! My #1 favourite of Swedish accents.

All right, I have to go. Talk to you soon!
